Author Support: A Case Study in Generosity
Even after more than a decade in the writing business, one aspect of the author community that continues to amaze me is the unconditional support we receive from other writers.
Case in point: last month, JR and I were featured guests at Minnesota Mystery Night, a monthly dinner-and-a-show gathering featuring author interviews. I asked Carmen Amato, CIA veteran and author of the Detective Emilia Cruz series, to be our interviewer.
Carmen flew to Minneapolis on her own dime, just to interview Two Navy Guys. Talk about commitment!
It was a fabulous night. We had a sold-out crowd, including a few guest appearances from Two Navy Guys supporters we haven’t seen in a hot minute. Thanks, Claude and Greg!
We also learned that JR likes to laugh at his own jokes...
